Republican Trey Grayson has been far busier on the rubber chicken circuit than the media circuit thus far in his U.S. Senate run, but his campaign's new website offers the best definition yet of his priorities and how the primary campaign could develop.

Grayson's campaign sent out an e-blast on Wednesday to alert supporters of the new and improved website, which includes an "On the Issues" section which appears to shore up Grayson's conservative credentials.

Here are Grayson's senatorial priorities, at least in the order listed on his website:

Out-of-Control Federal Spending
Health Care
Energy
Federal Budget and National Debt
Abortion
Taxes
Veterans
Second Amendment
Immigration

As of October 28, 2009; Trey Grayson announced that he was forming an exploratory committee to run for Senate 181 days ago.

Trey Grayson officially announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate 63 days ago.

And just now, he tells people what he believes? Was he focus-group testing his stances first?

Go Rand Paul!

Trey has tried to make this campaign a popularity contest for six months, not taking positions on serious issues. Rand Paul has run circles around him promoting balanced budgets, free market health reform, stronger national defense, and auditing the Federal Reserve while Grayson grumbled at Rand for daring to criticize the Bailout Senators funding Trey’s campaign.

So it was funny on Tuesday to see Grayson change strategies and start talking on his web site about — you guessed it — promoting balanced budgets, free market health reform, stronger national defense, and auditing the Federal Reserve. He’s against Republicans voting for bailouts, now, too. Where’s your party loyalty, man?

Glad to see Trey coming around to where Rand has been all along. For Rand, though, holding to Constitutional principles isn’t just something you do to position yourself in a Republican primary.
