Governor Steve Beshear's job approval rating has gone up 6% since August, according to the latest Survey USA/WHAS 11 News poll. Beshear's job approval is 50% compared to 43% who disapprove of the job Beshear is doing. A C-J poll released over the weekend showed Beshear with a 60% approval rating. The Survey USA poll shows older folks (65+) think Beshear is doing a good job by a 2 to 1 margin (64% approve, 30% disapprove). Beshear gets the most support from the Louisville area (58%), the least from his native western Kentucky (39%). Surprisingly, the same poll shows only 50% of Kentuckians surveyed say the economy is the number one issue for the next president. That's down from 59% last week. |
