Second District congressional candidate Brett Guthrie has begun running TV ads that look like a cross between Bruce Lunsford and Mitch McConnell. Guthrie's ad is about energy and gas prices. Brett Guthrie takes great pleasure in his limited military background. Yet he casually omits to discuss the fact that while the rest of the 101st was preparing to go to Iraq during the First Gulf War, Brett Guthrie, a la George Bush, got a two year early out. Not only did Guthrie fail to fulfill his service obligation as a military academy graduate, he failed to fulfill his obligation as a soldier.
