The headline on the September 19th news release from Governor Beshear's office reads "Governor Beshear Submits Presidential Disaster Declaration." The governor said the same thing at a news conference that same day. He was asking President Bush to declare Kentucky a disaster area following the September 14th wind storms and damage.
