Hogan was Governor Fletcher's press secretary before being transferred to the Transportation Cabinet, where he served under Secretary Bill Nighbert. Hogan has also worked for Senate President David Williams. Hogan came to state government with a background in TV. He was once a reporter for WBKO in Bowling Green and an executive producer at a couple of other stations. For those of you who frequently travel to Frankfort, the move means Doug Hogan will be Greg Stotelmyer's boss, which might be a good thing since Hogan presumably will want more hard core political coverage from his veteran reporter.
