Governor Steve Beshear isn't in Denver yet. He stayed behind today to make a couple of annoucements. But Beshear told WTVQ's Greg Stotelmyer that when he gets to the Democratic Convention, he plans to tell Barack Obama's henchmen to send their candidate to Kentucky. Beshear says the main reason Obama isn't polling well in Kentucky is because "Kentuckians don't know him." The gov is hoping that will turn around in the coming months. He's also hoping Obama's running mate, Sen. Joe Biden will make a trip to the Bluegrass State. I'll have some Survey USA numbers on McCain/Obama coming up in my next entry tonight.
Henchmen?
