It appears Rep. Greg Stumbo is seriously considering a run for House Speaker in 2009. Last week the C-J's Tom Loftus quoted Stumbo as saying he hadn't ruled out a run for Speaker. Now the H-L has a similar story. Just to add some fuel to the fire, Stumbo told me, and others, just before the end of the 2008 session that he didn't think he could beat Jody Richards but might consider a run for another leadership post. 3 CommentsLeave a comment |

Like it or not, Greg Stumbo made order out of chaos in the last session. My guess is he could be crowned King of the Legislature....if he wanted it.
This is what Greg Stumbo does best an expects when he wants something he expects people to step aside an let him have it look at what he done to Brandon Spencer an Chuck Meade an now it seems Jody is in his cross hairs, larry Brown is the republican running against Greg this fall an has not campaign anywhere or done anything to try to get votes the word is Greg choose him to run same old politics here in Floyd county. I honestly thought Steve Beshear was going to help the people here in the east but when he stabbed Benny Ray Bailey in the back an all the supporters that went against Greg Stumbo for him in the primary an team up with the likes of Paul Patton Greg Stumbo & Paul Hunt Thompson I new he was nothing but the likes of them a empty suit when will a politican keep his word for once I dont understand how a man can talk christian background an lie like that. I dont know Jody Richards that well but I here he is honest an I hope he Stands his ground an wins this battle GO JODY
Stumbo is the master puppeteer pulling the strings of voters, fellow legislators, the governor and the media. Everyone falls all over themselves every time he speaks. Personally I hope someone comes along and cuts the strings. His political pawn games are the reason many Kentuckians are apathetic to the voting process.
