Sen. Mitch McConnell told the Lexington Herald-Leader that he will be at the Fancy Farm Picnic in a week and a half. It'll be interesting to see if McConnell will answer questions from Kentucky reporters this year. He ducked everybody last year, getting out of car behind the stage and hustling past reporters with a Secret Service agent in tow. On Thursday, Bruce Lunsford will finally respond to the McConnell campaign's TV ad which has been absolutely crushing Lunsford on the hottest campaign issue out there....gas prices. McConnell's ad is almost comical but it's effective and easily understood by average voters and Lunsford hasn't countered. He will at a news conference on Thursday but the die has been cast on blame for high gas prices in this race. |
