The Lexington Herald-Leader is reporting that Kentucky taxpayers are shelling out more than $400,000/yr. in rent for the state agencies who have been shoved out of the Capitol Annex building by the ever-expanding legislative office space. I bet the folks getting hit with budget cuts will love to hear this one. Once again I remind you that Kentucky lawmakers approved increases in their own budget each of the next two years while cutting the budgets of both the executive and judicial branches.
