The Louisville Airport Authority has voted to give Executive Director Skip Miller another year at the helm of the airport operations, despite a rocky 2007. Miller's future with the airport was in jeopardy last year after a WHAS 11 investigation found the airport had paid Miller's former secretary more than $60,000 to settle her sexual harassment complaint against Miller. We found Miller had sent inappropriate e-mails. He later apologized to the airport staff for his behavior. But Airport Authority board chairman J.D. Nichols says Miller has done everything right since that "unfortunate" incident adding that Miller has been "the best executive director I've seen in my 20 years" of association with the Louisville airport. Nichols says the board voted unanimously to extend Miller's contract for one year and give him a $6,000 raise. Miller will make $198,000/yr. when his new deal kicks in later this year. |
