A new Survey USA/WHAS 11 poll shows a clear majority of Hillary Clinton supporters would back Barack Obama if he chooses Clinton as his running mate. If he doesn't, just 21% of Hillary's supporters say they'd pledge they'd still vote for Obama with a majority saying they wouldn't vote or couldn't say who they'd vote for at this time. The poll first asked 1100 registered voters who they'd like to see as the next President, Clinton, Obama or McCain: The pollster then asked the 400 Clinton supporters who they'd vote for now, with Clinton out of the race: Clinton Supporters: What if Barack Obama adds Hillary Clinton as his running mate? Clinton Supporters: What if Obama chooses a woman other than Clinton as running mate? Clinton Supporters: How about an Obama/Edwards ticket? 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

I'm sure the Obama folks aren't worried about putting Kentucky in play. If they were to ever come close to winning this state, then it's a landslide of epic proportions. Clinton would be a terrible addition to Obama's ticket for all those reasons being discussed in the press (not to mention Bill Clinton's sketchy money connections), and the fact that it somehow pleases the basest of the nation's citizens here in Kentucky is all the more reason not to do it. Obama wants us to look to the future, and that's not a place Kentuckians are good looking toward, unless one's vision of the future is the Second Coming of Jesus and a theocracy to get us there.
I agree with pointless, with the exception of the "unless ..." statement.
