A half dozen Louisville-based state employees have resigned or been fired and three others have been disciplined, in connection with an alleged food stamp fraud ring. WHAS 11 News began investigating the allegations last fall and the State Inspector General's Office issued a report last month, detailing how one state worker abused her post to get as many as 8 fraudulent EBT/Food Stamp cards, racking up more than 40-thousand dollars in grocery charges for herself, family, friends, co-workers and strangers.
