So that means House Speaker Jody Richards will have incumbents Rocky Adkins (Majority Leader) and Charlie Hoffman (Caucus Chairman) on his slate with Jenkins and Stacy. Richards is openly campaigning for Jenkins and Stacy believes he has the support of the Speaker.

Larry Clark is running for reelection as Speaker Pro-Tem but could seek the Speakership if he thinks he's got a shot to topple Richards.

The wild card is obviously Rep. Greg Stumbo. At the end of the 2008 legislative session he was telling folks he didn't expect to challenge Richards and didn't think he could beat him. And Stumbo may not have the clout he once had in his previous stint in the House. Many members were upset that he went behind the back of House leadership to cut a deal with Sen. David Williams to get millions of dollars worth of pet projects stuck in the state budget bill.
