| Fischer Lays Out Lunsford's Contributions to Enemy UPDATED »
Mitch McConnell has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on feel good TV ads over the past two months, but it appears a sizable chunk of Kentucky voters may be ready to vote him out of office. A Lexington Herald-Leader/WKYT-TV poll shows McConnell with a 12 point lead over either Bruce Lunsford or Greg Fischer if the election were held today. Clearly, the fall election, will be all about McConnell. And this poll has to give the democrats some hope that they can knock off the Senate Minority Leader if they can keep voters focusing on McConnell and not Bruce Lunsford, the likely democratic nominee. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

This is what the headline should have been. Mark...you venture into Joe Gerth territory with this posting.
There isn't a journalist or political pundit on the planet who thinks McConnell is actually vulnerable.
I like your reporting and I think you are a talented dude. But come on, in a year when Republicans across the country are fighting for their lives, McConnell enjoys a DOUBLE-DIGIT LEAD when the Dems have been getting ALL the press. Yes, McConnell has run ads...but he has not even started going nuclear negative on his opponent while both the major Dems have been firing on McConnell for weeks.
AND IF THE DEM IS LUNSFORD...WELL...YOU KNOW...THERE WILL BE PLENTY O POO TO TALK ABOUT, YES?
