The AP is reporting that the Lexington Herald-Leader will be offering a Fordesque buyout plan to its employees in an effort to cut costs. LEXINGTON, Ky. HL has been out of touch with readers in Kentucky for a long time. I guess all of those cancelled subscriptions have taken a toll. CJ next?
Not only the HL, check out the performance on AH Belo's 3 big daily papers...Providence Journal, Dallas Morning News, and Press-Enterprise are all hurting.
If the HL gets rid of Tipton myself and others will buy a subscription.
Yeah. That's a shame.
