One Supreme Court Justice has taken the rare step of publicly criticizing a move by outgoing Chief Justice Joseph Lambert, claiming Lambert's reappointment of Jason Nemes as Director of the Administrative Office of the Courts has divided the high court. Nemes is Lambert's former chief of staff who has been AOC Director for three years. But Justice Wil Schroeder tells the Lexington Herald-Leader that Lambert shouldn't have reappointed Nemes over the objection of the Kentucky Senate which failed to confirm the appointment. Schroeder also told the paper that the appointment should have been left to the next Chief Justice and the Nemes debate is playing a role in the election of the next Chief Justice. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

Wil Schroeder is from my district and is as worthless as Tits on a boar hog. I sure hope that Marcus Carey will run against the scum bag again!
Justice Wil Schroder is a gentleman beyond reproach and posseses an exceptional legal mind. If you have a problem with the truth you do not want to ask Justice Schroder his opinion.
It took exceptional courage to take the internal discussions of the Court public after an apparent misrepresentation of the action was broadcast to the media by Jason Nemes. When Chief Justice Lambert indicates the re-appointment was considered by the entire court it does not mean the re-appointment was approved by the court - merely that it was discussed.
CJ Lambert's gamesmanship with the English language and Jason spewing it to the media inferred approval when it was not necessarily the case. Chief Justice Lambert's quest to keep an unqualified person in the role of Director will taint the KCOJ for the future court if this is not put to bed.
If there is any integrity left with Mr. Nemes he will call it a day and resign immedaitely. If Jason and the Chief both love the courts as they regularly indicate it is time for them to move on and the Chief should immedaitely accept the resignation!
