The newest WHAS 11/Survey USA poll shows Hillary Clinton with a 9 point lead over Barack Obama in Indiana, 52%-43%. The poll was taken over the weekend and has a margin of error of 4%. The poll results are identical to the numbers released by Survey USA four weeks ago, with Clinton gaining ground among independent voters while Obama picked up steam among voters under 50, liberals and in Northern and Southern Indiana. If Clinton wins, she'll have Southern Indiana voters to thank for it. She's leading in the 35 southern counties by a 2:1 margin. Recent polls in Indiana have shown the race tightening but that's not reflected in the Survey USA numbers. I'll have more on the polling at noon and 5:30 on WHAS 11 News. |
