The Kentucky Public Service Commission has a new Executive Director with ties to some big names in Kentucky politics. She's the daughter of former gubernatorial candidate and Human Resources Secretary Dr. Grady Stumbo and related to State Rep. Greg Stumbo:

STEPHANIE STUMBO NAMED TO HEAD PSC STAFF

New executive director takes office on March 17

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 13, 2008) - Stephanie L. Stumbo, a Kentucky native with extensive management experience in state and local government, has been named executive director of the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC).
Stumbo comes to the PSC from G&H International Services Inc. (GHIS), a Washington, D.C.- based consulting firm providing strategic and policy development support and program implementation services to a variety of clients. During her employment with GHIS, Stumbo served as program director for Kentucky.
Before joining GHIS, Stumbo was executive director of the Kentucky Community Development Office in the Governor's Office for Local Development, a role in which she managed the disbursement of grants to Kentucky communities. She also served as executive director of the regional Kentucky Works program in a 53-county area and as director of economic development for the Big Sandy Area Development District.
"Stephanie Stumbo's diversity and depth of experience will serve her well in administering an agency that deals with complex issues in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment," PSC Chairman Mark David Goss said. "We are pleased to welcome a person with her management skills to the PSC."
"The PSC staff is known for its expertise and dedication," Stumbo said. "I am honored that the commissioners and Governor Steve Beshear have entrusted me with the responsibility of leading this group of professionals whose work is so important to all Kentuckians."
The PSC is an independent agency attached for administrative purposes to the Department of Public Protection in the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet. It regulates more than 1,500 gas, water, sewer, electric and telecommunication utilities operating in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and has approximately 105 employees.

She's a total hack. Allegedly, she's telling staff at PSC who've been there 20+ years that she's absolutely in charge and that the commission is getting things ok'd through her...enjoy your last four years of state government...your attitude is just like that of your governor which only ensures it! Have fun little girl.
