Obama Drops In Kentucky Poll

In a head-to-head matchup with Republican John McCain, Barack Obama would get killed according to the latest SurveyUSA/WHAS11 Poll.

The poll shows McCain beating Obama 64%-28% and beating Hillary Clinton 53%-43% if the election were held today. The biggest surprise in the poll might be the percentage of black voters who support McCain in a race with Obama. 22% of African Americans say they'd vote for the republican, 70% for the democrat, Obama. Against both Obama and Clinton, McCain has his largest lead in western Kentucky. And here's another surprise, perhaps, among voters who say the war in Iraq is the top issue in this year's presidential race: McCain beats both Clinton and Obama on the Iraq issue. McCain has said he'd be willing to keep American troops in Iraq for a century if that's what it takes to set up a stable democracy in that country. Obama and Clinton both favor withdrawing most troops as soon as it's safe to do so. An ABC NEWS poll now shows a growing number of Americans, now 49%, support the invasion of Iraq.
