Kentuckians Don't Like Job Pres. Bush Is Doing
The latest Survey USA/WHAS 11 poll shows President Bush's job approval rating in Kentucky is 38% with 60% saying Bush is doing a poor job. Bush's numbers would have been worse except for the support he received from folks in eastern Kentucky (huh?).
The most interesting results from the poll are the responses to the question of the top issue for the next president. The economy was number one by an overwhelming margin with the war in Iraq dropping to third behind health care. I'm not sure what that means for the fall elections but if I were John McCain I'd stay as far away from George W. Bush as possible.

I suggest that the cost of the war has all budget items strained. Hopefully the Iraqi will get its people under control and we can continue to bring our troops home.
