Bad Month For Beshear, Down 10 Points
The latest Survey USA/WHAS 11 poll shows Governor Steve Beshear's job approval rating has dropped ten points since January.
52% of Kentuckians surveyed think Beshear is doing a good job, while 38% disapprove of the job he's doing. Last month 62% of those polled approved of the job Beshear did in his first month on the job. The botched state senate election in eastern Kentucky appears to have had the most impact on Beshear's popularity. In January, Beshear had a 66-24 job approval rating among eastern Kentuckians. This month his approval numbers are 49-46 in the mountains, a monumental shift. Beshear is still popular in the Louisville area (56-32) and among democrats (67-23). But among those who call themselves independents, Beshear has lost alot of ground (46-46). Here are the complete Survey USA results.
