Abramson: No regrets
Smart move by Mayor Jerry Abramson's office to offer him up for end of the year interviews. Communications Director Chad Carlton compared the wait by the media to see him like a doctor's office. But, I asked him about more than just his Top 10 list for 2007.
Here are highlights of my conversation with the mayor. You can watch raw video of our chat on WHAS11.com
* The building projects announced in 2007 will create 7,700 construction jobs in Louisville.
* The Library Tax would have been on Top 10 list of accomplishments had it have passed.
* Does not think there will be a recession, but that Louisville is in good position to weather tough ecomony nationally.
* Does not regret not running for governor, but when I pressed him, he acknowledges he probably would have won.
* Is not yet endorsing anyone for president, but says he has known Hillary Clinton for a long time. He also says that John Edwards has momentum.
