Yarmuth Admits Mistake, Backs Obama
In a wide ranging interview today, Congressman John Yarmuth admits that he made a political mistake in failing to vote for a resolution that praised the role Christmas and christians have played in American history.
But Yarmuth says he was right, in principal, to vote "present" instead of "yea" for that resolution, believing the resolution trivializes Christmas and christians. Yarmuth also says he's not publicly endorsing any democratic candidate for president, but believes Barack Obama would make the best chief executive. He's not sure Obama would make the best nominee for his party.
Yarmuth tells me he only talks to Mitch McConnell about once a month but says Louisvillians shouldn't worry about the two Jefferson Countians joining hands to fight for local projects. Yarmuth says he and McConnell have known each other for a long time and get along just fine, even though they rarely agree on policy issues.
Here's the story with Yarmuth.

So Mr. Yarmuth says he made a mistake on the Christmas vote but his vote was correct and he now thinks he made a mistake in supporting Islam.
With a “double back flip” statement like that I'm surprised he is supporting Obama because he sure sounds a lot like a Clinton
