Ryan Alessi has uncovered what appears to be a big split in the Democratic Party in Dan Mongiardo's former senate district. And it looks like Mongiardo and Steve Beshear may be trying to steer the selection of the democrat they want running for Mongiardo's open seat. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

To be honest, I am getting sick to death of Ryan Alessi and his conspiracy theory wording. Every article he writes is like
he is trying way too hard to find some political intrigue with which to wow the Pulitzer committee. Woodward and Bernstein
didn’t win the Pulitzer for writing on Watergate, they won it because they were good journalists. A lot of journalists
wrote stories on Watergate.
How about approaching stories as news and not the next opportunity for fame and glory. If you do that, you might start to
realize that there are “normal” parts of politics going on every day and not every action is an attempt to pervert the
course of justice.
Your word choice and attempt to over sensationalize stories are my main issue. “… has intervened to "fix" the process.” I
will give you this, your ability to make an unfounded accusation with inverted quotes is amazing. With the quotes, the
governor is trying to put his own person in, without them he is seeking a solution to a problem. What was wrong with: “…
has intervened to fix the process.”?
Did is occur to you for one second that he sees a division in the Democrat party of this Senate race and he is trying to
clear up a problem before it becomes an issue? Perhaps it slipped your mind that as well as being the Governor, Steve
Beshear is head of the Democrat Party of Kentucky. It’s his job to see to the proper functioning of the party. He acting
in the best interests of the party and your trying to make it out like it’s Tammany Hall.
Not every action Steve Beshear makes is that as the Governor of Kentucky. When he kisses Jane goodnight, it’s Steve
Beshear husband, not the Governor of Kentucky. When he gives one of his sons advice, it’s Steve Beshear father, not the
Governor of Kentucky. As the bard once said: “All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have
their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts…”.
Mark I am little disappointed in you on this very same topic. “Ryan Alessi has uncovered…”. Ryan Alessi didn’t uncover
squat. Roger Noe or one of political allies don’t like the way the political wind is blowing, so they decided to make a
politically unwise move and air the Democrat Parties differences in public by calling Ryan Alessi. “…may be trying to
steer the selection...” or trying to get the best candidate for the district, but that’s not sexy enough.
Mongiardo was with Alexander Saturday in Middlesboro meeting Democratic committee members. Looks like Ryan is right.
