Actually, it was the Fletchers who invited the incoming governor and his wife to join them for a lovely dinner inside the renovated mansion. According to Beshear's spokeswoman Vicki Glass, "the Fletchers couldn't have been more gracious." Glass says the two couples chit chatted and didn't talk about anything substantive. The Fletchers also led the Beshears on a tour of the first floor of the mansion. The current governor didn't have much to say about the meeting except "Glenna and I enjoyed welcoming Steve and Jane to their new home. We wish them the very best."
