Pat Boone Says Beshear Will Make Ky. LIke S.F.

Former entertainer Pat Boone has recorded robocalls for the Republican Party of Kentucky.

In the recorded messages, Boone calls Steve Beshear "ultra liberal" and says Beshear's endorsement from C Fair, a gay rights group, concerns him. Boone wraps up the message with "do you really want Kentucky to become another San Francisco?" and asks voters to reelect Ernie Fletcher.

A spokesperson for Beshear says his campaign welcomes the endorsement of all people, no matter who they are.

That's probably Fletcher's answer as well. He was joined at a prayer breakfast last week by Louisville pro-life, anti-homosexual activist Dr. Frank Simon. And Simon's group, Freedoms Heritage Forum, is putting out voter education pamphlets urging their supporters to vote for Fletcher on election day. It was a secretly recorded, and leaked video of Simon with Larry Forgy in 1995 that may have cost Forgy the governor's race. Many moderate Jefferson County voters thought Forgy was a moderate republican until he was spotted campaigning with the ultra conservative Simon.

I got the recording myself and told Beshear today in Louisville I wanted a yr's supply of Rice-A Roni.
See you election nite, if you're at Beshear Hq.

Other than desperation, I cannot fathom the Republican Party obsession with the gay community. Are there not gay Republicans? Could there be some working/serving in the Fletcher administration? Does Fletcher have some kind of gay litmus test for appointees? Truly, the gay hate was overused a couple of years ago. Can they not find a better Boogey Man than this?? Even their Fearless Leader Bush created a better Boogey Man than this to ensure his re election.

I recall a time when Mr. Boone's white bucks and pastel colored pants made folks wonder how he might be corrupting our youth. He seems to have turned out right side up, though. However, he still choses himself to reside in that other ultra liberal hotbed where gay rights groups range free - Beverly Hills. He's been perfectly at home there for decades. And it doesn't seem to have affected him very much. How come Kentucky now is going to go to hell in Pat Boone's hand basket?

Pat Boone should record a new album and entitle it "Even If You Remember Me, I'm Irrelevant."

Frank Simon's next pamphlet should be entitled, "More Hate, More Lies, More Paranoia, More Dementia."

Doesn't Pat Boone live in Hollywood? I believe he's closer to San Francisco than any of the rest of us.

Actually Flamecat, Bush and his buddy Rove did use the "gays" to scare the red states into to reelecting them in 2004. They were so slick that the stupid voters forgot about this endless war.
They knew that they could not survive another election if those nasty ole "activist" judges had to put them in office. It is so very sad that the voters can be so easily duped - just four short years ago Ky voters actually believed Ernest when he promised to "restore hope" you cannot believe the Republicans - wonder what slick mitch will promise next year - VOTE DEMOCRAT FOR YOUR CHILDRENS FUTURE!!!!!

It's sad that out of desperation, an outside celebrity's brought in to insult my intelligence with a non sequitur scoop of rhetoric from the fear mongering well. Ernie, no sale. Accordingly, good bye.

How could I forget Rove and the Gay Scare of 2004?! What is worse...a couple of gay men and women making a commitment to one another, OR 4000 plus men and women dead in Iraq so Haliburton N Friends can get rich?? Well, come Tuesday I hope that these hate mongers get what is theirs. Still amazes me that people buy into Frank Simon and the likes of him or is he an IT? Talk about extremist...and that is the Moral Majority??

I do not see how Ernest can look himself in the mirror - To think own self be true Ernest!

I'm sick and tired of seeing and hearing the political candidates use sexual preferences and religion as their strong points, I don't care who does what in their own homes,I don't care what religion the candidate is,we are accountable to one person when our time comes, we are all supposed to be EQUAL, why can't they focus on what's really important like jobs, healthcare, schools, and the things that help the state or communities grow?

You don't hear much on the illegal people living in the state or the U.S. for that matter compared to these 2 things, you don't hear a lot of what they plan to do for those people in this state or country that fall into the gap of making enough to not qualify for free healthcare, but not enough to be able to afford it either.
