Trey won't be the nominee in 2011. That is David Williams' for the taking. Trey had his window of opportunity this year prior to Northup and he got scared after he took some hits and went and begged Steve Pence to jump in the race to bale his but out.
Mark, You should interview Pence and ask him how close he came to running against Fletcher, who encouraged him to get into the race (that would be a heck of a story) and who his running mate and state co-chairs were going to be.
