She's being booted out of her state job by a new democratic administration. So Alecia Webb-Edgington is going to try and win a job on her own. Webb-Edgington is seeking to run for the House seat vacated by Jon Draud, who begins work as Kentucky's new Education Commissioner on Monday. Edgington is Kentucky's Office of Homeland Security Director but was asked to resign by the Beshear transition team this week. Here's her press release: Alecia Webb-Edgington State House of Representatives Leadership • Vision • Values MAJOR ALECIA WEBB-EDGINGTON ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR FORT WRIGHT, Ky. – Kentucky's homeland security director, (Ret) Maj. I was curious if Edgington had her named legally changed to (Ret.) Major?? I dont recall anyone else who retired from the State Police ever using their former title as much as she does. I wonder once she leaves the Homeland Security job if she will then be (Former or Ex) Director (Ret.) Major?? Maybe she wants to make sure everyone knows she was once a State Police Major.....once you leave it really doesnt matter...and usually no one cares.
