Will Grayson Go Down With Fletcher?

Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson says he's been worried about Ernie Fletcher's coattails dragging him down on election day. But Grayson believes his ad campaign will give him better name recognition with voters and, perhaps, help him avoid democratic straight ticket voting.

Grayson is beating Bruce Hendrickson by 6 points in the Lexington Herald-Leader/WTVQ-TV poll. But many republicans are worried that a huge stomping of Fletcher at the top of the GOP ticket could lead to an upset of Grayson and possibly State Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer. Here's the story.

4 Years ago many democrats did not go down even though Chandler lost by 10%. If republicans are good candidates they can stand on their own. Farmer will win easily. Grayson will win 53-47%.

That is six points. You must have a polling sheet others have not seen.

Trey G. is too close for comfort for his campaign. With the R's turned off, by the performance of Fletcher, and the polling numbers hold, Trey G. will not be able to evade the long coat tails of the D;s, this time around.

When he looses, this will be the last we hear of Trey G. as a statewide candidate, oh, he my run, but the momentum he had gained, as a young Lion, has been wiped away by his inability to decide if he wants to be Governor or Secretary of State. Or to challenge a sitting Governor.

He was "MITCH's" boy on that one, and like the other advise, given by Mitch McConnell, it was wrong.

If the polling numbers hold, Trey G. has seen his last days as a statewide politician.

Trey Grayson won 57-43 - close to landslide numbers. A very solid, strong victory.
