According to the Associated Press, Rep. Mike Denham's family members say he's "resting comfortably" after heart bypass surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington. Denham went to a Maysville hospital with chest pains on Sunday then moved to Lexington for the surgery. The statement from Denham's family says the operation "went smoothly" and they expect Denham to be released from the hospital by the end of the week. Denham has been in the legislature since 2001.
