Beshear and Fletcher Live on WHAS and WTVQ

9:13 PM Sun, Sep 30, 2007 |
Mark Hebert

The two candidates for governor have agreed to another debate/forum on live TV. This one will air Sunday, October 21st at 7 p.m. on WHAS-TV in Louisville and WTVQ-TV in Lexington.

The format for the hour long gubernatorial forum hasn't been determined yet. But I suspect it will include some opportunities for Beshear and Fletcher to ask each other questions as well as questions from reporters from the two TV stations. If you've got any suggestions on how we can make this forum informative and entertaining to Kentucky voters, send me an e-mail at mark.hebert@whas11.com and I'll pass it along to the folks with the big salaries who will make those decisions.

Mark,

I think a very important issue to all voters is "taxes."

Steve Beshear wants to do away with the Ky. Sales Tax on horse feed, grooming supplies & fencing materials for horses.

Jane Beshear stated on Beshear's website that she would like to become Ambassador to Kentucky's Horse Industry.

The voters would like to know how Steve Beshear plans to eliminate a Ky. Sales Tax for the Horse Industry while at the same time better education & provide healthcare for all?

The voters would also like to know how much salary his wife, Jane, would receive as Ambassador to Kentucky's Horse Industry & who is the current Ambassador for the horses?

Mark - You do think voters have a right to know what industry Steve Beshear plans to do away with Ky. Sales Tax for, don't you?

Its a crime that while we can't afford to spend more on poverty education or provide decent healthcare to the needy - we have a candidate for governor, Beshear, who wants to take millions away from the Ky. state tax revenue to benefit and offset his own horses cost. Beshear made $4million dollars last year, I think the man can afford the 6% sales tax to feed his horses & buy their brushes.

To top it off, Beshear's wife wants the taxpayer to pay her to become the first Ambassador to Ky's Horse Industry.

Maybe if we took away all their money we might get people in office that actually want to help who they are supposed to represent.

I agree with the above poster, any & all tax issues is something that the media should not try to hide from the voters.

12:17, It's good to know that you agree with your 8:43 self, but does your 8:43 self agree with you?
