Kentuckians Want Out of Iraq Soon
A WHAS11/Survey USA poll shows most Kentuckians want U.S. troops out of Iraq within six months.
The poll shows 44% of Kentuckians polled want us out of Iraq right now while 13% say troops should withdraw within six months. 36% says the U.S. troops should stay in Iraq "as long as necessary." That number is a bit higher than the responses in national polls. But it's certainly not what U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell wants to see. While McConnell has been moving more and more toward the position of "the Iraqi government isn't doing their job, let's pull the plug," he's still stuck with the previous unfettered support of the Bush administration's missteps in Iraq. It'll be interesting to see what Kentucky's senior senator does after more of his republican colleagues say they're ready to bring the troops home.
