Kentucky's new Democratic Party Chairman has got his fundraising work cut out for him.

A filing with the Registry of Election Finance shows the Democratic Party has just $1,081 in its bank account. The Republican Party isn't exactly flush with cash either.
The GOP has $20,000 cash on hand.
The GOP's report shows the party paid $22,000 to Voter/Consumer Research for a "survey" in February.
The Democrats' report shows they've paid Jonathan Hurst a total of $27,500 since mid-December or about $5000/mo. for "consulting."
Jack Walker of Louisville is also getting $4,166/mo. for "consulting."
The dems also shelled out $22,000 for polling from Zata-3 in Washington.
Since December 13th, Kentucky's Democratic Party raised $62,000 and spent $127,000.
The GOP raised $44,000 and spent $39,000 during the same period.
