The spending from the House Democratic Caucus Campaign Committee, which has been the source of rumor and a power struggle among House Democratic leaders, is now open for all to see. According to filings with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance, the HDCCC spent about $30,000 since December 13, 2006 with just $11,000 cash on hand. Most of the rumblings about the caucus campaign committee in Frankfort have centered on its director, Jonathan Hurst and whether he could justify his expenses charged to the committee. Here are some of the expenses: $1534 for cell phones. Hurst says the committee purchased four cell phones and the rest of the expense was for cell phone service that included three different phone numbers. $12,802 for mileage. Hurst says that's reimbursement for one year's worth of travel for him. Hurst says he never personally signed any checks from the caucus and, contrary to the rumor mill in Frankfort, not a single dime was misappropriated and used on Jody Richards' gubernatorial campaign. Hurst says he considers Richards one of his best friends but played no role in his campaign. Caucus Campaign Committee treasurer Julie True says she and Richards had to co-sign every check from the committee. And she doesn't believe Hurst sought reimbursement for all of his personal expenses. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

If Jonathan played no role in Jody's campaign, then why was he always in Jody's Louisville office?
If you want photographic evidence I will post it.
..."And she doesn't believe Hurst sought reimbursement for all of his personal expenses".
Hope Julie kept good notes for when she is called before the grand jury. She is either culpable or gullible.
BTW - At the federal rate of reimbursement, Jonathan was paid to drive around circumference of the earth - then go 2000 more miles.
