The Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP) Board of Directors voted on the endorsement today. KEEP has been pushing for legalized casinos at Kentucky horse tracks and Beshear has been the most outspoken supporter of legalizing casinos during the 2007 governor's race. According to the news release from KEEP, its board members liked the fact that Beshear has promised to repeal the state sales tax on horse feed and equipment. The release says "their administration offers the best hope for horse owners throughout the state, and the industry as a whole."

KEEP claims to have 11,000 members spread over all 120 Kentucky counties.
