Miller Files Report

11:55 AM Wed, Apr 25, 2007 |
Mark Hebert

Jonathan Miller has raised just over $1 million for his gubernatorial campaign. But Miller has less than 20% of his cash left to spend in the closing weeks.

Miller reports raising a total of $1,009,191.51 for the entire election. He has $187,000
cash on hand. Miller has spent a huge chunk of his money on TV time in the past few weeks, trying to get a bump in his poll numbers and prove that he's got a legitimate shot to win the democratic primary. Miller has released his own poll showing him tied with Bruce Lunsford for second place in a wide open race.

Miller's campaign spots are only running in Louisville and Evansville. Spokesperson Carol Andrews says they're strategically placing their ad buys. He's presumably worried that running too many ads right now might leave him with an empty kitty during the last two weeks of the campaign.

Make sure to read my previous post about other finance reports including Otis Hensley's, which, in my opinion is the funniest story of the day.

Miller - Maze reported to the press,
"This brings the Miller-Maze total from December 15, 2006 to March 23, 2007 to $818,498..."

To find that month average of donations to Miller/Maze -
Dec 15 - March 23 equals 3 months

$818,498 (divided by) 3 months = (an average) $272,832.66 per month.

TODAY: Miller/Maze report a total of $1,009,191.51

To find if Miller/Maze are receiving donations at their own reported "average" pace:

$1,009,191.51 subtract $818,948 = $190,693.51

$272,832.66 subtract $190,693.51 = $82,139.15 BELOW their OWN reported monthly AVERAGE

Now, unless Miller reported erroneous numbers in March, people do NOT seem to be donating to the Jonathan Miller at their OWN average pace -
- to the tune of $82,139.15 DOWN in one month.

I said from the moment it became public that Jonathan Miller had such strong ties to Mark Nickolas that Miller would NOT be able to raise much more than 1 Million. I was right.

In fact, most of the money Miller has received is from OUT OF STATE. I know people that have refused to attend any Miller fund raisers b/c of his connection with Mark Nickolas.

I am not classy so I will gladly say, "I TOLD YOU SO - I TOLD YOU THE MARK NICKOLAS CONNECTION WOULD COST MILLER HIS POLITICAL RACES."
Now, I am LAUGHING!!!

Sorry, that is false. 86% of the donations came from Kentucky contributors.

No one in the Miller camp is happy with those numbers. So, all you Miller campers cut the crap - it is too obvious those numbers show that Jonathan Miller's donations have FALLEN OFF in one month ... down $82,739.66.

Miller has ONLY himself to blame. When Miller's very close, seemingly corrupt connection with Mark Nickolas was disclosed - people were advising Miller to go public and distance himself from the slander & corruption of Mark Nickolas.

Miller did NOT take the advice of those intelligent people. Those people LEFT his camp.

Miller ONLY took the advise from the detestable, slanderous, KNOWN to be under Federal investigation for corporate tax fraud - Mark Nickolas.

What politician would EVER think that they could get elected by associating with and taking advise from people under State & Federal investigation for criminal offenses?

Did Miller think that the donors were too stupid?
Was Miller simply too arrogant, young, unqualified and unskilled to make the SMART choice?
Is the answer, all of the above?

Whatever the answer, some things are crystal clear:
1. Monthly average donations to Jonathan Miller are DOWN $82,739. FALLING, FALLING, GONE!

2. Miller does NOT take advise from intelligent people.

3. Many have LEFT the Miller camp due to the Mark Nickolas crap.

Miller needs to wake-up to reality. Political insiders that donate to political campaigns loathe Mark Nickolas because he slanders people and is known for committing corporate tax fraud. People that donate to politicians do NOT want to donate to politicians that get advice from & even associate with people like Mark Nickolas.

If you don't believe me ... Just look at the math.
