Governor Fletcher and President Bush continue to have equally miserable job approval ratings, according to the latest WHAS11/Survey USA polling. According to the poll numbers released today, Fletcher's job approval rating is 36%, with a disapproval of 59%. That's a little better than March, but exactly the same as February. The good news for Fletcher is that 53% of the republicans polled think he's doing a good job, compared to 44% who don't. Assuming those who think Fletcher is doing a fine job will vote for him, Fletcher should be in pretty good shape for his primary race against Anne Northup. It's that darn fall election where democrats get to vote for or against him that will be troublesome, perhaps adding credence to Northup's point that she's the "only republican who can win in November." President Bush's job approval rating is 38% in Kentucky with 59% disapproval. That's about the same as last month (37/60). |
