By late Monday morning, you'll be able to watch all of the remarks from Jonathan Miller and Irv Maze on WHAS11.com. Just go to News, click on Politics and that'll get you there. I hope to have Beshear and Mongiardo video on the same page by the end of the day on Monday.

Jack Conway has decided to run for Attorney General, if Greg Stumbo doesn't seek reelection. Several sources tell me Conway has made that decision but still can't figure out what to do if Stumbo stays put. Does Conway run for Governor? Does he try to convince Crit Luallen to rethink her decision to stay out of the governor's race? Does he stay put and think about running against McConnell? My recent conversations with him left me with the impression that he really hasn't decided what to do.

Ron Geary has apparently caught the same bug that struck fellow Louisville businessmen Charlie Owen and Bruce Lunsford. It's the "I don't need to call reporters back, but sure hope they show up at my news conference" disease.

Ben Chandler's main reason for staying put in Congress was family-related. He concluded that he could spend more time with his wife and kids commuting back and forth to Washington than he could if he were living in the Governor's mansion. That's a good reason to stay put but it may now be poor reasoning. While the House is currently meeting from Tuesday to Thursday, allowing Chandler to fly into D.C. on Tuesday morning and fly home on Thursday night, that schedule is about to change. Chandler's House leaders are launching a schedule that calls for a five day work week in Washington. If that schedule stands, Chandler will spend far LESS time with his family than he wants.

I'd heard this story but wasn't sure it was true until John Yarmuth repeated it. Ben Chandler's improved seniority gave him an opportunity to upgrade his office space in Washington. But he couldn't find an office with a closet big enough to accomodate his bed. So Chandler is staying in his current office. The frugal 6th District congressman sleeps in his office and doesn't rent an apartment in Washington.

Kudos to Ron Geary for not returning Rumor Boy's calls.
