As I recall, he'd just gotten a call from a Democratic congressman who was promising to help Yarmuth's campaign financially. But the congressman wasn't too interested in Yarmuth's stand on issues or the difference his election would make in returning control of the House to democrats. This congressman was more interested in Yarmuth's golf game. Apparently there's an annual Democrats vs. Republicans congressional golf tournament. And the Dems have been getting their clocks cleaned the past few years. Yarmuth is a scratch golfer (that's really good). So the Dems are hoping the freshman from Louisville will step up and help them win the Washington version of the Ryder Cup. Who cares about health care and bridges, we need Yarmuth's putting ability!!!!!
