Thoughts on Fancy Farm

The best story to come out of Fancy Farm is Trey Grayson toying with the idea of running for governor. Not a great story, but it's the best the Farm could deliver in this weak year for political entertainment.

The funny thing is, Grayson might be the Republican's best candidate for Governor.
He's a fresh face. No ties to Fletcher. He's clean, a good speaker and could win crossover votes because Democrats respect and like him. The same "inexperience" label that the Dems are slapping on Grayson is the exact reason he might be the Repubs best choice, as long as he hires some old hands to help him run his campaign.

Here are the alternatives besides Fletcher......Whitfield, Rogers or Northup.....forget it. Kentucky voters don't want another Republican Congressman who's been stuck in Washington running their state. At least not on the heels of Fletcher.
Billy Harper....nobody knows who he is and he's starting way too late to pull a Wallace Wilkinson-like rush to the finish.

Steve Pence.....tied to Fletcher and would probably prefer a federal judgeship.
