The folks who read this blog or watch KET's Comment on Kentucky might know who Trey Grayson is. But before this week, my guess is that maybe 10% of Kentucky adults could tell you he's the Secretary of State. Now, courtesy of Governor Fletcher, that percentage is probably up to 20 or 30% with many folks probably saying "isn't that the guy who might run against Fletcher?"

The Governor canceled his news conference to announce Homeland Security grants at the last minute on Monday, August 7, mainly because the cities and counties receiving the grants hadn't been notified. Fletcher wanted them standing behind him at the news conference, so he rescheduled the briefing for Thursday, August 10.

You may have missed the WHAS-TV story, but Kentucky Labor Department official Jim Zimmerman has admitted an ethics violation. Zimmerman is a former State Rep. from Oldham County who is now a Division Director in Fletcher's Labor Department.

The best story to come out of Fancy Farm is Trey Grayson toying with the idea of running for governor. Not a great story, but it's the best the Farm could deliver in this weak year for political entertainment.
