A couple of notes for you political animals:

1) Check out the video of Mitch McConnell and Anne Northup answering questions about Governor Fletcher's electability. Go to POLITICS on WHAS11.com and look for the video stories. I'll get the soundbites up on Monday, July 3. You'll want to watch McConnell and Northup has some interesting, though a bit disjointed, compliments for Fletcher while essentially saying she won't run for Governor in 2007 (something she's told me previously).

2) Look for a federal lawsuit to be filed by the end of the July 4th week by Mark Nickolas of BluegrassReport.org. He'll be challenging the Fletcher administration's censorship of certain web pages (including the blog you're reading) on state government computers.

3) I know Jim Bunning hates reporters and editors, but calling for the New York Times reporters to be charged with treason? The Times may have tipped off terrorists that the U.S. Government was looking at their banking and phone records. But treason? Sorry Jim, there are many Americans who will agree with you but I'll side with the judgement of a news organization and the clarity of the First Amendment over your judgement and the clarity of the U.S. government any day. That may put me in the minority, but that's why we have a Constitution, so we can agree to disagree without being thrown in jail.
