It's the first time I've interviewed Chandler in person in a long time. I came away with the impression that he's staying put in Congress and won't run for Governor in '07.
He says running for Governor in '03 was "not a pleasant experience". And Chandler says he sees his 3 kids quite often now but fears he wouldn't with the incredible hours needed for campaigning, then governing (if he wins). The one thing that makes me think he might run is his presence in Louisville for a forum. What's a congressman from Lexington doing in the 3rd District if he's not running for something other than Congress?
