Instead of being known for the unique mastery of the art of screen acting, change it up to say the unique mastery of the english language.
Gary is one of the best writers I've worked with, and he can do serious or comedy.
Gary has a way with words. When you wanted something special, when you wanted someone to "wax poetic", Gary was your man.
He was just nominated for an emmy for his story on the Geek Squad.
The story begins with music --- and Gary capturing the mood with his writing:
Name: Justin Hart.
Description: Agent, Geek City.
Mission: Data Recovery.
You drop your laptop, Justin saves your business files, pictures of your grandchildren.
From head to foot, he's a total geek.
From head to foot, Gary has been a leading man at WHAS-11 since I came here back in 1989.
His hair has gone from gray to white, but like Cary Grant it only seemed to season them as veterans.
Speaking of veterans, Gary served his country in the Navy and has served Kentuckiana for years with delivering the news -- both good and bad. He deserves our applause for a job well done with his community service.
If you know Gary, you know his loves are baseball and horse racing. I hope he gets to spend more time at the ballpark or the track.
So this week a standing ovation for one of our leading men, but not a final curtain.
You'll still be able to see Gary now and then making special appearances on WHAS-11.
