A back and forth game in Anaheim California has Marquette leading Kentucky 33-29 at halftime.
Kentucky got out to a quick start but then cooled down aobut five minutes into the half. At that point Marquette went on a 12-0 run to take a 16-10 lead. The Wildcats had a tough time stopping penetration from the Golden Eagle guards.

Coach Billie Gillispie is fired up on Kentucky's bench during todays first round NCAA tournament game. After a fast start Perry Stevenson got pulled from the game for not defending the pick and roll and about one minute afterward AJ Stewart got yanked as well. Both got an earfull from Gillispie.

It's gametime in Anaheim California and Perry Stevenson has cracked the starting lineup.
I'm sitting right behind the Kentucky bench inside the Honda Center as starting lineups are being released. It's the number 11 seed Wildcats and the number 6 seed Marquette ready to go..

What a long strange trip it has been!
When I was asked by our News Director Genie if I was interested in travelling for the SEC and NCAA Tournaments I jumped at the opportunity. I was a Sports guy in Cincinnati for a number of years, and I thought I knew the drill. In reality, I had now idea what was about to come. But really, who could have?

The Kentucky Wildcats came out cold after their unexpectedly delayed first SEC Tournament game. Scoreless in the first few minutes Joe Crawford finally knocked the lid off of the basket with a three pointer at the 15:50 mark of the first half.

What a bizarre night in Atlanta Georgia for Kentucky basketball fans. It's now nearly noon on Saturday and the Wildcats still haven't played a game in the SEC Tournament. Tornados ripped though downtown Atlanta with just 2:11 left in the Mississippi State/Alabama game. Kentucky never took the floor. The damage and devastation to both the Georgia Dome and the city is extensive.
