As Darren Pickerill's doctors wait for his fever to subside for an important surgery, Jeffersontown Police Chief Rick Sanders had two pieces of news for me today (July 23, 2007) ...Interning in a newsroom is a unique experience, to say the least. I was told by a WHAS reporter on my first day, "the internship is what YOU make it". Another said, "if you want to be a reporter...you need to just tell them you're going to report...DON'T be shy."
