This will be the final entry in this blog -- the blog that covered the second triple murder trial of David Ray Camm.
Jury selection began on January 9. Opening arguments were delivered on January 16. The jury arrived at a verdict on March 3 and final sentencing took place today -- March 28.

For the first time during this trial, defendant David Camm addressed the court.
Shortly after his sister spoke in his defense, he made his statements from his seat. He read from a prepared written statement.
Lead defense attorney Katharine Liell declined to release a copy of that statement to the media.

David Camm has entered the courtroom.
Smiling and wearing handcuffs, Camm chatted briefly with his uncle, Sam Lockhart, before taking his seat between defense attorneys Katharine Liell and Stacy Uliana. As he did during his trial, he has traded in his prison garb for a shirt, tie and pants.
Judge Robert Aylsworth just entered the courtroom. Court is now in session.

Judge Robert Aylsworth formally discharged the jury in the second David Camm triple murder trial just moments ago.
He praised the jury as well as attorneys from both sides as he dismissed the jury for what would be the last time.

The jury has recommended a sentence of life without the possibility of parole for convicted murderer David Camm.
Camm showed no obvious emotion as the decision was read by Judge Robert Aylsworth.
The jurors were individually polled at the request of lead defense attorney Katharine Liell to determine that they were all in agreement. They were unanimous.

Moments after Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson and lead defense attorney Katharine Liell delivered very brief opening statements, Debbie Karem -- Kimberly Camm's sister -- addressed the jury.
Before Karem took the stand, Liell took the opportunity to quietly criticize the jury's verdict during her opening statement.

At roughly 10:30 CST, Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson arrived at the judicial center and spoke briefly with the media about ongoing jury deliberations.
During the press conference, Henderson would call attention to the significance of today's date: today is the one-year anniversary of Charles Boney's arrest.

The jury arrived at the Warrick County Judicial Center shortly after 9:30 this morning to resume deliberation. Today marks the fourth day that the jury has been sequestered.
There is no word on when a verdict might be reached, but if the jurors do not arrive at a decision today, they will be sequestered for the weekend.

Shortly before 4:00 CST, the media was once again booted out of the courthouse due to a lack of sheriffs to secure the building in the evening hours. As television reporters prepared for their 5:00 liveshots in front of the building, defense attorneys Katharine Liell and Stacy Uliana appeared to provide a fresh update on defendant David Camm, at one point lashing out at the media for its intense coverage...
