The first witness was Greg Balmer who was Floyd County coroner in 2000. He is now the chief deputy coroner. He testified for about five minutes about the sweatshirt. Then Sgt. Sammy Sarkinsian from Indiana State Police took the stand. He is an evidence technician. Henderson re-showed some crime-scene photos and autopsy pictures to show where the sweatshirt was. The jury asked Sarkisian two questions: First, whether he tried to switch on the garage lights. He said no. He said he waited for a search warrant. Then they asked if the half footprint was a front or heel print because they had heard both. Sarkisian said it was a front print. This jury seems to be paying very close attention. |
