Ira Cronin | It's all about me...September 22, 2006
This week’s High School Football Blog is all about me. I know I know…how surprising for a TV guy to talk about himself but I promise this time it’s warranted. I’m also going to give some love to our WCNC.com interactive ace, even though he offered me $10 not to talk about him in this blog (which I would have taken him up on if he would have offered me $20, but extortion is not in my nature). So I’ll only refer to him as our “interactive ace”. Well, last week our interactive ace came back to the sports department with this very cool high tech device, the iPod. In the palm of his hand, he showed me the Friday Night Blitz Podcast! At this point in my career I am very used to seeing myself on TV, but I must say to see myself, and great high school football video in crystal clear video on an iPod was very impressive. I’m talking about the podcast, and not me per say. I have been resisting the cost of investing in one of those little beauties but after seeing the Blitz podcast , it’s only a matter of time before I spend the cash. Holly (my dear wife) if you are reading this, what a great stocking stuffer! I have seen the future and I am impressed. If you are iPod savvy and watch the Blitz, check it out and you can take the show with you where ever you go. If you’re not, have your kids get you savvy – it is so easy, and great to have as you run those errands over the weekend, watching the Blitz as you’re waiting in line at the hardware store. This week, not only can I promise you a great High School Football show packed with all the great highlights, Olypmic at Charlotte Catholic, Weddington at Independence, Crest at Ashbrook, Hickory at Maiden, Vance at Berry, just to name a few… You can download the show and take it with you where ever you and your iPod roam. See you on the Blitz! Ira Posted by WCNC.com staff at September 22, 2006 8:29 AM This text is invisible on the page, but this text is affected by the invisible item's flow.
