Whether I’m covering an event for work, or rooting for my favorite teams, I want to be as close to the action as possible. The ‘net does that, and with all the cool things like Podcasts and chats and instant messages, I get to hear from the fan much more than I used to, and that’s a good thing.

I even get to hear them in church. This past weekend an area player who attends the same services my family does, informed me on Sunday that I had butchered their quarterback’s name and that the quarterback wasn’t happy.

But can I just take a second here to say how glad I am that professional teams and college programs have people whose job it is to make sure people like me know how to say their athlete’s names correctly! For high school football, we’re talking about a lot of names! Red Raider fan has certainly not been shy with his opinions and I can honestly say our show is better because of it. It’s another big night looming on the Blitz, our game of the week is Independence at Providence, and if you have questions you want answered by Langston on the show you can e-mail them in anytime during the week.
